Diversity and coexistence in Switzerland: in-depth analysis 2016-2020
Over the 2016-2020 period, Switzerland’s population was generally open to diversity. A small part of the population stated that they felt uncomfortable about the presence of people perceived to be different and most rejected racist attitudes. An open attitude is comparatively less likely among people politically oriented to the right, as well as among those with no migration background or those living in sparsely populated zones.
