Internships during the studies - Topic report of the survey 2020 on the social and economic situation of students

In 2020, 38% of higher education students said they had completed at least one internship since the beginning of their higher education studies. 7% of students said they had taken concrete steps in order to carry out an internship and 18% that they intended to do one before the end of their studies.18% of internships were carried out abroad. Compulsory, unpaid internships were the most common type of internship undertaken during studies.
