Individual well-being is a general state of satisfaction and good quality of life. It depends on individual living conditions (objective dimension) and the assessment that these individuals make of their situation (subjective dimension). Well-being is greatly enhanced when people feel equal to others. There are areas of life in which equality is more actively expected than in others, but all aspects of life are concerned.
Individual well-being is measured in eight important areas for equality and the quality of life of people with disabilities.
