Press conference - Population's mobility behaviour in 2021 (results of the microcensus)

In 2021, the Swiss resident population covered around 43% of distances travelled in Switzerland during their leisure time. This therefore remained by far the most important mobility purpose. In total, 30.0 km were travelled domestically per person per day. This is 6.8 km fewer than in the last survey in 2015, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
