The statistics on social assistance in the context of refugees, SH-Flüstat, are compiled by the Federal Statistical Office on behalf of the State Secretary for Migrations (SEM). The survey method is the same as used for the statistics on social assistance recipients.
The groups of people receiving social assistance based on financial support from the Confederation and comprising these statistics are refugees granted asylum (B permit) for whom less than five years have passed since they submitted their asylum request and temporarily admitted refugees (F permit ) who have been in Switzerland for less than seven years and who have been granted financial social assistance.
The key indicators are the social assistance rate, the structure, the social situation of this group of people as well as the length and dynamics of the benefits.
