Sustainability Indicators of the Tourism Satellite Account

To capture the sustainable development of tourism, the FSO publishes for the first time, as a pilot, a time series of indicators of the tourism satellite accounts (TSA). The sustainability indicators of the TSA (SITSA) link the monetary tourism statistics and the environmental accounts. The indicators of sustainable development reported include tourism gross value added as well as tourism employment and now also air pollution, greenhouse gas emission as well as energy consumption by tourism product. The intensity of these specific measures is also reported relative to different reference values. These results are available from 2014 to 2019.
