Gross domestic product and labour productivity in 2021: regional data
2021 saw post-COVID-19 recovery in Switzerland and in the cantons. Measured by gross domestic product (GDP) at previous year's prices, the economy improved in all cantons. Six cantons saw their economies grow by 10% or more: Neuchâtel (15.2%), Jura (14.7%), Ticino (13.2%), Schaffhausen (12.9%), Nidwalden (10,1%) and Vaud (10.0%). Growth was spread across the country and around ten cantons had growth ranging from 5% to 10%.
