Health care costs and financing in 2021
In 2021, health expenditure rose by 5.9% compared with the previous year. This increase was greater than the five-year trend of +3%. According to the latest results from the statistics on health care costs and financing compiled by the Federal Statistical Office, during twelve months strongly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the largest cost increase was due to services provided by the State (+74.6%).
