Vital Statistics 2017: provisional figures Increase in number of deaths in 2017 with a peak in January

Neuchâtel, 27 February 2018 (FSO) - The year 2017 was marked by an increase in the number of deaths. An increasing number of paternity acknowledgements and registered partnerships were also observed. In contrast, there was a decline in births, marriages and divorces. The same trends were seen at cantonal level. These are the provisional findings of the Vital Statistics from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
