Neuchâtel, 27.11.2017 (FSO) - In 2016 there were 18.3 million outpatient consultations and nearly 1.5 million inpatient stays in Swiss hospitals. Over the past five years, outpatient costs have risen twice as fast as those for inpatient care. In addition, the use of imaging equipment in hospitals is steadily increasing. These are some of the findings from the Hospital Statistics from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
