Stillbirths and infant mortality 2003 - 2010 High mortality rate among certain categories of newborn
Neuchâtel, 20.03.2012 (FSO) - In 2010, the infant mortality rate fell slightly in comparison with previous years and was 3.8 deaths per thousand live births. According to the Federal Statistical Office, the number of still births and infant deaths is fairly stable despite the increase in twin births or low birth weights which are accompanied by a greater risk of death.
