Investment in the construction sector in Switzerland in 2022: temporary data
Construction expenditure comprises construction investments and public maintenance works. Also shown are the volume of orders (investments) and the volume of orders (expenditure). Construction investments include all expenditure occurring during the realisation of a construction. The volume of orders (expenditure) includes construction investments for the subsequent year of all construction projects underway including public maintenance works expenditure for the subsequent year.Investment in construction rose by 1.8% in nominal terms in 2022 compared with the previous year. This included a marked increase in private renovation investments. Investments in building construction rose by 2.3% and those in civil engineering fell by 0.1%.
