Consumer prices increased by 0.3% in April

03.08.2023 - The consumer price index (CPI) decreased by 0.1% in July 2023 compared with the previous month, reaching 106.2 points (December 2020 = 100). Inflation was +1.6% compared with the same month of the previous year. These are the results of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).

The 0.1% decrease compared with the previous month is due to several factors including reduced prices for clothing and footwear as part of the clearance sale. Prices for air transport and international package holidays also fell. In contrast, prices for supplementary accommodation and the hire of private means of transport increased.
