Community Nursing Statistics (Spitex Statistics) 2007 One in ten persons aged 65 and over receives care from a community nursing organisation

Neuchâtel, 27.01.2009 (FSO) - In 2007, just under 28,000 persons in 639 organisations provided nursing and care services to approximately 205,000 customers. One in ten persons aged 65 and over received care services from community nursing organisations. Among those aged 80 and over, almost one in four persons received these services. The Community Nursing Statistics 2007 are being published for the first time by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
