Empty dwellings census of 1 June 2020
On 1 June 2020, there were 78 832 empty dwellings in Switzerland. This was 1.72% of the total dwelling stock (including single-family homes). Some 3449 more dwellings were empty than in the previous year, representing an increase of 4.6%. The dwelling vacancy rate continues to grow, as it has done without interruption for over ten years.
