Swiss Forestry Statistics 2021
With just under 5 million m3, in 2021 4% more timber was harvested than in the previous year. Sawlogs accounted for 2.5 million m3 – an increase of 6%. Fuel wood confirmed its important position in energy supply. In the process, the demand for lumberwood increased again and the higher timber prices reduced the deficits of the forest enterprises.
