Number of new vehicle registrations in 2022 almost 8% lower than previous year
Neuchâtel, 05.02.2013 (FSO) - For the second time in a row, a record number of new motorised vehicles were registered in Switzerland in 2012. The 431,000 new vehicle permits correspond to an increase of 2.4% compared with the previous year. A total of 5.6 million motorised vehicles were registered in Switzerland in 2012, approximately 4.3 million of which were passenger cars. This finding is from the Road Vehicle Statistics published by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
