The FSO library is a public library specialising in statistics. It is responsible for cataloguing and archiving statistical literature.
Catalogue of the federal administration's libraries
The electronic catalogue of the Alexandria library covers the entire collection of the federal administration’s libraries.
The publications kept at the Federal Statistical Office library are marked either localisation or dépôt: BFS

Consultation of the library by appointment only.
Library enrolment is free of charge upon presentation of valid ID. Connection to the Wi-Fi requires registration by mobile phone and an email address.
The following facilities are available to enrolled users:
- Reading and work spaces
- Photocopier
- Free Wi-Fi access
- Printer
Borrowing books and publications
The FSO library archive covers over 5000 metres of shelf space. Archived books and publications (i.e. around 95% of the collection) may be borrowed free of charge and should be returned within one month. Loans can be renewed a maximum of five times provided that the item has not been reserved by another user.
All loans are assigned to an individual person (no anonymous loans).
The books and publications in the main area of the library may not be borrowed.
The FSO librarians can provide you with any information or advice you may need. Upon request, they can briefly show you around the library and explain how to use it.
