In 2021 almost one person in six with a disability was at risk of poverty

29.11.2021 - Persons with disabilities participate widely in the labour market. In 2019, 72% of them did so. However, their quality of life is not as good as that of other working people: overall they are less likely to be satisfied with their work than people without disabilities (67% of them compared with 81%) and to be subject at work to more violence and discrimination (26% compared with 18%).  These findings come from the equality indicators of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), published ahead of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3rd December.

You can find further information in the press releases in German, French and Italian. The English version only contains the lead of the press release.
