Pension Fund Statistics 2022: final and key results 2022: Lump-sum withdrawal remains popular on retirement

21.12.2023 - Lump-sum withdrawals rose again significantly. In 2022, 54 273 pensioners withdrew CHF 13 billion (+15.4% year-on-year) in the form of a lump-sum or partial lump-sum payment. The average value of capital withdrawals was CHF 240 291 (+8.9%). This is according to the final results of the 2022 pension fund statistics from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
