Transport accounts 2005 CHF 82 billion for transport

Neuchâtel, 25.05.2009 (FSO) - In 2005, total costs for road and rail transport in Switzerland were approximately CHF 82 billion. Of this, CHF 70.5 billion was accounted for by road transport and CHF 11.4 billion by rail transport. These are the latest results of the Federal Statistical Office's transport accounts for the year 2005.
