Swiss Moving Statistics 2020 One in ten moved in 2020

Sharp fall in the number of moves in 2022

10.03.2022 - 10.3% of the Swiss population moved in 2020. Young adults were most likely to change dwellings. Occupants of single-family houses moved less often than occupants of multi-dwelling housing. The average moving distance was 12.5 km. These are some of the results of the new moving statistics compiled by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
