One in every two people in Switzerland take medication weekly
Neuchâtel, 18.02.2014 (FSO) - Almost one in five of the employed population experience stress at work either most or all of the time. People exposed to severe stress are also five times as likely to show signs of depression. The use of medical services for mental health issues has increased in the past 15 years. The number of people wearing glasses has also risen. Almost two-thirds of the population wear glasses or contact lenses. These are some of the findings of the Swiss Health Survey 2012, produced by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO). Information on the health of the Swiss population is provided by over 160 standard tables.
