Neuchâtel, 28.11.2011 (FSO) - According to the first results from the Swiss Earnings Structure Survey conducted by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), the gross median wage was CHF 5979 per month in 2010. In the period from 2000 to 2010, earnings for the most highly skilled jobs rose more than those paid for the least-skilled jobs. The percentage of jobs paying a gross monthly wage of less than CHF 4000 is 10.7%. The wage gap between men and women decreased on average by 0.9 percentage points between 2008 and 2010. Nearly one in three employees receives a bonus (30.6%).
