25.09.2023 - The number of lists and candidatures has again reached record levels in 2023: 5909 candidates (41% of whom are women) on 618 lists in the cantons with proportional representation are contesting a seat on the National Council. Those under the age of 30 account for almost 30% of candidates. Many of them are standing on age-specific lists, which make up almost half of the parties' partial lists.
