Acceptance of diversity

This indicator provides information on the population's openness to people perceived as different due to their skin colour, religion or itinerant way of life.

From an integration perspective, the aim is to increase the proportion of people who are open to diversity.

Methodologies

For 2016, the indicator represents the share of the population who said they had not experienced discomfort in everyday life (share who answered "no").

From 2018 onwards, the indicator refers to the share of the population who said they had not experienced discomfort in everyday life (share who answered "not at all disturbing" or "rather not disturbing").

The possible reasons given were skin colour, religion and itinerant way of life.
