2.6% increase in Switzerland's GDP in 2022
27.08.2019 - The gross domestic product (GDP) of Switzerland at the previous year’s prices increased by 2.8% in 2018. This sustained growth was in keeping with a favourable environment characterised by a marked recovery in the contribution of foreign trade and strong momentum in the manufacturing industry. The gross national income (GNI) at current prices registered an increase of 5.0% benefiting from an improved balance of income from abroad. These initial estimates for 2018 from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) are accompanied by a revision of the results from 2016 and 2017.
