25.11.2022 - At the end of 2021, 35 273 enterprises in Switzerland were part of a multinational enterprise group. They employed approximately 1.5 million people, which was just over a quarter of the total number of employees. In terms of employment and turnover, the economic activities of manufacturing and trade dominated. These are some of the latest findings of the enterprise groups statistics, produced by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
