A decrease in long-term health problems indicates an improved situation.
The population without a migration background is more likely to suffer from long-term health problems than the population with such a background.
Between 2012 and 2020, the share of persons stating that they suffered from a long-term health problem has increased in all the population groups studied. Since 2021, this share has remained stable.
In the Lake Geneva region, Espace Mittelland and the Zurich region, the population without a migration background has a significantly higher rate of long-term health problems than the population with such a background.
