Population growth 2016: provisional figures Switzerland's population continued to grow in 2016

Neuchâtel, 06.04.2017 (FSO) - Switzerland's population increased by 1.1% in 2016 to 8,417,700 inhabitants. All cantons recorded an increase in their population. The population continues to age but the number of centenarians has fallen. These are some of the provisional results from the Federal Statistical Office's Population and Household Statistics.
