First survey of the Swiss Museum Statistics More than 12 million admissions to Swiss museums

Neuchâtel, 18.04.2017 (FSO) - Switzerland has 1111 museums, with regional and local museums accounting for the largest group. 12.1 million admissions were registered in 2015, with the highest number recorded in art museums (3.3 million admissions). Museums also carried out 100,000 guided tours. Among cultural activities in Switzerland, museum visits are even more popular than the cinema.
