Neuchâtel, 4 June 2018 (FSO) - In 2017 around 105 000 adult convictions were registered in the conviction register. This corresponds to a decline of 5% compared with the previous year. Conditional financial penalties remain the most common sentence (87%), thus far exceeding custodial sentences since 2007. In 2017, there were 1039 convictions with expulsions. These are the latest findings from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
