Continuing vocational training in companies in 2011 Wide support from companies for further training of their employees

Neuchâtel, 21.11.2013 (FSO) - 83% of Swiss companies said that they supported at least one further training activity followed by their staff in 2011. This percentage varies according to the size of the company and the economic sector in which the companies are active. In a European comparison, Switzerland is one of the countries with the highest number of training companies but is close to the European average in terms of the proportion of employees supported. These results are from the Swiss survey of companies on continuing vocational training that was carried out for the first time in Switzerland by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
