Swiss Labour Force Survey 2023: Annual averages Just under half of employees work flexible hours

05.07.2024 - In 2023, 47.7% of employees benefited from flexible working hours and almost two fifths worked from home at least occasionally. 26.5% of employed persons regularly work on Saturdays. Night work is much less common (5.6%). 8.6% of employees have fixed term contracts and a similar proportion work on an on-call basis (8.3%). These results vary greatly depending on economic section, gender and age group. These are the findings of the Swiss Labour Force Survey (SLFS) conducted by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
