The number of employed persons rose by 2.2% and the unemployment rate (ILO) fell to 3.9% in the 4th quarter 2023

16.05.2023 - In the 1st quarter 2023, the number of employed persons in Switzerland increased by 2.1% compared with the same quarter in 2022. During the same period, the unemployment rate as defined by the International Labour Office (ILO) decreased from 4.6% to 4.3% in Switzerland and from 6.2% to 6.0% in the EU. These are some of the results of the Swiss Labour Force Survey conducted by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
