The number of employed persons rose by 0.5% and the unemployment rate (ILO) rose to 4.0% in the 2nd quarter 2024
22.03.2022 - In the 4th quarter 2021, the number of employed persons in Switzerland rose by 1.1% compared with the same quarter of 2020 and the number of weekly hours worked per employed person increased by 1.5%. During the same period, the unemployment rate as defined by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) decreased from 4.9% to 4.4% in Switzerland and from 7.4% to 6.4% in the EU. These are some of the results of the Swiss Labour Force Survey (SLFS).
