Health care costs and financing in 2010 Moderate growth in health spending

Neuchâtel, 03.04.2012 (FSO) - Total health care expenditure in 2010 amounted to CHF 62.5 billion, 2.5% more than in the previous year. As the gross domestic product rose by 2.9% in 2010 compared with the previous year, the share of health expenditure in the gross domestic product remained stable at 11.4%. These are the findings of the Federal Statistical Office's (FSO) latest provisional figures on the costs and financing of health care.
