Unemployed persons based on ILO definition

The unemployment rate based on ILO definition is, in general, higher for women than men. In the ages of 25 to 54 more women than men experience unemployment, whereas before retirement age (55-64 years) more men than women are affected.

Since 1991 women's unemployment rate based on ILO definition has always been higher than men's, except in 1997.
