Farm Census - additional survey

The Farm Survey (FS) is a random sample survey that usually takes place every 3 years in autumn. The purpose of the survey is to provide additional information that is not asked for in the annual structural survey. In 2003 and 2005 the size of the sample only allowed evaluations to be made at national level; the data collected since 2010 allow evaluations to be made at cantonal level. In 2020 the sample comprised approximately 15,000 of the 50,000 farms in total.
