Occupational position

Women are generally employed in lower positions than men: they are more often in non-management positions. Men are much more often self-employed or employed as members of the board of directors or with a supervisory role.

The proportion of women among employees who are members of the board of directors and those with a supervisory role has risen slightly since 1996 and now constitutes a little more than a third.
