Reconciliation between work and family life (module in the SLFS)

The “Reconciliation between work and family life” module collects data on the effects of the regular provision of childcare or care for ill, disabled or elderly family members on current employment. It also determines the greatest obstacle in reconciling work and family. From 2012 onwards, the module has included questions on work flexibilityin the context of family responsibilities. There are also questions on past career breaks and working time reduction to care for children or adult family members. The module follows Eurostat guidelines.
