The Statistics on Normal Workweek in Companies (NW) have existed since 1942, although the methodology has changed considerably over the years. The normal workweek is defined as the number of hours a company employee is required to work each week over a period of several months or years. Generally speaking, the workweek is understood as being full-time, with no overtime hours nor reduced work schedules.
