The overtime rate of full-time employees, i.e. the annual hours of overtime as a percentage of annual working hours as per contract, varies depending on the economic sector: Financial and insurance activities (3.8%), Professional, scientific and technical activities (2.7%) and Information and communication (2.2%) held the top three places. In 2020, the lowest rates were found in Agriculture and forestry (0.9%), Accommodation and food service activities (1.0%) and Transportation and storage (1.1%).
