Self-rated state of health

This indicator provides information on peoples’ self-rated general state of health and therefore reflects their quality of life more broadly. It is recognised as a good synthetic indicator of overall population health.

An increase in the share of persons rating their own state of health as good or very good indicates an improved situation.

This indicator is based on the answer to the following question:

How is your state of health is in general?

1 : very good;
2 : good;
3: fair;
4 : bad;
5 : very bad.

This indicator shows the share of persons saying they are in good or very good state of health.
