There is consensus that this subject should be included in each integration indicators system. The labour market is a fundamental driver of integration. Access to a job generally means that people are able to cover their basic needs independently. The resources that are generated by having a job also impact participation in other areas of life (access to resources and socio-economic status). Participation in employment can also be considered as an essential condition for integration into society.
