Upper secondary level certification of young people who turned 15 in 2010

In 2020, 91.4% of the approximately 82 500 young people aged 25 who were already in Switzerland at the age of 15 obtained an upper secondary level qualification in vocational or general education and training. Social background, length of stay in Switzerland and the educational pathway in compulsory education are among the factors that have a strong influence on obtaining such a qualification. These are the results of a study based on exhaustive data conducted by the FSO, which followed the pathways of young people who turned 15 in 2010.
