Data as of: June 2020
The number of advanced federal PET diplomas evolved only little between 2000 and 2019. Despite a marked progression, the proportion of women in advanced PET examinations is only about 30%.
The five educational fields with the most diplomas (Accounting and taxation, Traditional and complementary medicine and therapy, Wholesale and retail sales, Electricity and energy, Building and civil engineering) account for more than half of all advanced PET examinations. As can be expected for the health related sectors, the women dominate clearly the last field. Other areas for instance like Electricity and Energy or Crop and livestock production present a clear male dominance, as in the vocational education and training.
