Following a first independent survey in 2008, the Statistics on Cultural and Leisure Practices have been collected as part of the Language, Religion and Culture Survey (LRCS) since 2014. Since then, every five years (2014, 2019, 2024...) it provides data on the cultural and leisure practices of the Swiss population aged 15 and over. The survey also includes questions about the context in which cultural and leisure practices take place and elicits more indepth responses with regard to certain aspects of these practices.
The statistics enable analyses of cultural and leisure practices against the backdrop of socio-demographic variables. The results appear in the form of webpages, tables, graphs and in detailed publications.
2024 survey period: August to October.
