The statistics on the type of building owner provide annual information on the ownership structure of residential buildings in Switzerland. They provide information on the distribution of landowners by different building characteristics. The results are disseminated at the Swiss, regional and cantonal levels, and also for some major cities. This is made possible thanks to the digitalisation and harmonisation of land registers in Switzerland.
