Neuchâtel, 20.02.2017 (FSO) - From 2005 to 2015 the number of pension funds with defined benefit plans fell steadily from 289 to 58. In 2015, the pension funds statistics enumerated 43 (2005: 242) private-law and 15 (2005: 47) public-law pension funds with defined benefit plans. In 2005 one in five persons was insured with defined benefits, in 2015 one in fifteen. These are some of the final results from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
